• IMATS LA 2018 Haul

Hello everyone! Last weekend I attended IMATS in Pasadena, CA with my sister and best friend. This was my third time attending and it is always so much fun! If you haven’t heard of this convention, IMATS stands for International Makeup Artist Trade Show. For a small ticket fee, you get access to a whole convention center full of discounted makeup, a magical place for any makeup lover! Because I spent my weekend away and wasn’t able to work on a more involved post, this week I’ll be sharing what I purchased while at the convention. Let’s jump in! The first thing everyone who attended got was a free sample size lippie…

  • Erin Condren Haul: Prepping for 2018

Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing what I bought from Erin Condren, what planner I’ll be using for the next year and some extra goodies. I’ve been using an Erin Condren life planner for around 5 or 6 years and I love and swear by them. Previously, I went for the traditional plastic, interchangeable covers but this year I decided to splurge on the faux leather, permanent cover. Even though the 2018 life planners were released around June or July, I actually waited to purchase my planner until Black Friday so I could get it, and everything else I decided to purchase, at a discount. First, let’s start with my life planner! It’s…

  • Disneyland Holiday Season Trip

Hello everyone! This past weekend, I spent a day enjoying all of the holiday festivities currently at the Disneyland Resort. Both Disneyland and California Adventure have been decorated from head to toe in holiday/ Christmas decorations. Disneyland is already pretty magical but the Holiday season is the most magical time of the year at the parks. I had an amazing weekend visiting my sister and managed to snap a few pics during my trip that I would love to share with you. I hope you enjoy! Disneyland We utilized the Max Pass because we only had one full day to visit the parks. Even though we both have annual passes,…

  • October 2017 Recap

Hello everyone! I recently read on Britta and Carli’s blog, Twinspiration, their September and October 2017 Recaps. They’ve been posting these recaps every month for the past year. I love the idea behind these posts, it’s such a great way to record fun events and special memories! As much as I wish I was as busy as them, I definitely don’t at this point in my life. 😜 So, needless to say, I probably won’t be posting one monthly but I would like to post recaps for the more interesting months in my life. I had so much fun this month! Even though I work full time, I took a couple of weekend trips…

  • The Sunshine Blogger Award

Hello everyone! I’ve been nominated for The Sunshine Blogger Award! Thank you so much Ashlee Nicole! I actually started my blog during a WordPress tutorial in one of my college classes. I was taking a social media marketing course and the professor brought someone in to explain the basics of how to use WordPress. At the time, I had no intention of starting a blog but as time went on, I figured it would give me something to do post-grad to take breaks from job searching. In the beginning, I didn’t know what I wanted to blog about and posted very irregularly about random things I attended or photographed. Since…

  • June 2017 Life Update

Hello everyone! After taking an unexpected 2-week break, I’m back! Following my birthday haul post, I got busier than expected. I was still continuously unpacking from the move while shopping and packing for a trip to Washington D.C. I just got back from that week-long trip and I can’t wait to get back into reviewing some of the products I got for my birthday as well as some new things I’ve picked up over the last couple weeks! Ever since my and my sister’s 8th-grade classes took trips to Washington D.C., we’ve wanted to go back to explore this beautiful, historical city. Since I have a friend who lives near the…

  • Birthday Haul 2017

Hello everyone! This past week I celebrated my 24th birthday so I’m keeping this week’s post on the shorter side. This year I kept the celebration pretty casual. My family and I went out to Boudin SF for lunch and had an impromptu photo shoot with the flowers at the mall where the restaurant is. Then later in the day we made a yummy homecooked dinner, saw Wonder Woman, and ended the day with a strawberry champagne cake from Whole Foods (which was delicious!). In today’s post, I’ll be sharing what I received on my birthday. Since I moved, I’ve had a hard time keeping up with blog posts so, thankfully…

  • Surprising my Sister with a Sloth!

Hello everyone! A few months ago, I had the idea of an epic birthday present for my sister. As a lover of sloths, I thought it would be amazing if I could find a place where she could meet and interact with a sloth. So after a googling session, I found a facility somewhat near where we lived in Orange County! After some planning with my parents, we had everything set to happen right before the big move and we kept this a secret for my sister until the day of. We went to the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar, CA and went on the Safari Tour. This tour is…

  • #FBF: Germany in January

Two years ago, a friend asked me if I would go with her on a travel course during interterm. For those of you who don’t know what interterm is, at Chapman, it’s held during the month of January and you are able to take one class. My friend explained that we could take German 101 in Germany and we would finally have the chance to travel outside the US. After getting permission from my parents, I told her that of course I would go with her! Something I neglected to think about until after I put a down payment on the trip was the fun fact that I would be…

  • Fascination File: Fashion

This week, I’m introducing an old concept with a new name. Every so often, I would like to share items from my various wishlists and possibly, in the future, update you as to which items I successfully check off my lists. I’ve named this series Fascination File because it’s a play on words for wishlist or lust list. I think it’s a fun use of alliteration and I hope you think so too! Now, as a makeup junkie and a Disney addict, I have quite a long list if makeup and Disney related items I’m hoping to get someday. However, something I don’t talk about very often is the fashion related items…
