This week I’m sharing one of the purchases I made at D23 Expo 2017. This year, Bésame Cosmetics had a booth in the expo hall and I was super excited to see a beauty brand at a Disney expo! I’ve wanted to try makeup from this brand for a while and I’m glad I had the chance to see the products in person at the expo.
The main reason they were at the expo is to advertise their collaboration with Disney! They will be releasing a Snow White collection of products in September and I can’t wait to get my hands on other items from this collection! At the expo, they had the eyeshadow palette available for purchase and of course I had to get it!
This palette is beautifully put together. It retails for $68 and includes 20 gorgeous, matte eyeshadows. They did thorough research to match the shadow shades to the exact ink shades used to create the movie. In addition to a mirror, there are three pages of information dedicated to demonstrating which ink shades were used to created Snow White’s signature look, from her hair color to the eyelid shade! These pages also include a step-by-step guide on how to achieve Snow White’s makeup look.

Here is a close up of the shadows. I completely forgot to swatch them when I was photographing this palette. I usually make a list of shots I want to get but this week got away from me and I just took pictures without making a list. 😬 With that being said, If you’d like to see some swatches, let me know! I’m loving the quality of this palette/ shadows. Everything is so well made and you can see it in the construction of the physical palette as well as the formulation of the eyeshadows. As far as the shadows, they are pigmented yet blendable! Each shade is soft enough to get amazing color payoff without a bunch of fall out.
To test out these shadows, I decided to recreate the eye look the palette recommends for Snow White’s look with my own modern day twist. I absolutely LOVED how this eye look turned out! I forgot how amazing an all matte eyeshadow look could be. As much as I love glitter, it’s refreshing not to have to rely on glitter and shimmer to pull a look together. I also mixed the bright red shadow with a clear lip gloss to create my lip color!
This palette, along with the rest of this Snow White Collection, is set to be released next month. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for the rest of the collection and can’t wait to try out the other products!
Overall, I highly recommend this palette to everyone! It’s definitely worth it and is an amazing Disney collectible.
