Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette Review

This week, I’m sharing my thoughts on the Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette. I already own and love her original palette she released with BH Cosmetics and was very excited to learn she was releasing a new one. In all the hassle that went down as far as ordering from the BH Cosmetics website, I purchased my palette from Carli’s Pravana Beauty website which was great because the shipping cost less on her website!

Here’s what the palette looks like:

According to the BH Cosmetics website,

This Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition 21 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette exudes the YouTube beauty mavens signature glam-girl style. This palette features 11 original shades plus 10 chic new shadows and highlighters in buttery, blendable formulas with staying power.

  • Vegan

  • Bold color payoff
  • 6 highlighters provide sun-kissed glow
  • Highlighting Powders Can Be Used for Face and Eyes

My initial thoughts on this palette when I saw the preview pictures of it (before it was released) were that many of the colors look very similar to the original palette and I wasn’t sure if I needed this palette since I already had the original one. My sister actually convinced me to get the new palette and I’m glad she did.

Here is a close up of the shadows and highlighters!

The description of the palette does say that it includes the original shades plus new shades so I was not misled in any way. Once I got my palette, I swatched it right away because I was excited to try out the new colors! Here’s how they swatched on my arm without primer and using my fingers:

Highlighters

I thought the original palette had high-quality shadows and highlighters but this palette blew me away. I didn’t think the quality could get much better but this Deluxe Palette has great color payoff and blends out beautifully! They are smooth and buttery and the shade selection is perfect for the spring and summer but can also work all year round. I did experience a very small amount of fallout but, like Bunny of Grav3yard Girl said recently, I don’t think I’ve ever had an eyeshadow palette that had zero fallout from any of the shadows.

As for the highlighters, they blew me away right from the first swatch! These are intensely pigmented highlighters that can be applied lightly or built up to be blinding. I couldn’t believe the pigmentation and have become my go-to highlighters since testing out this palette.

Here is a look I created with this palette. I currently have eyelash extensions so I was going for a softer look without eyeliner.

I went for more of the rose/ peach tones and used the white highlighter in the inner corner. I used a mixture of the larger, peach highlighter on the left side of the palette and the white highlighter.

I highly recommend this palette to anyone and everyone. I’m loving the pigmentation, blendability, and shade selection!

I hope you enjoyed this week’s post!

Until next time,
