It’s that time of the month again, time for monthly favorites! I’m currently in the middle of packing to move from Southern California to Northern California so I haven’t been shopping for many new products because I don’t want to have to pack them when I leave. Although I haven’t purchased many products, I was able to “shop” through my current makeup collection and rediscovered some amazing products! This list is in no specific order so let’s jump right in!

The first product is the NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette. I bought this at IMATS LA 2017 because I wanted to try different colored highlighters without breaking the bank. However, when I got home, I unpacked everything, put this palette in a drawer and completely forgot about it! As I was going through my vanity to pack up some things I don’t use every day, I found this and used it the next day.  I was pleasantly surprised by how pigmented and beautiful it is! I haven’t really used any other highlighter since rediscovering this palette. I use the shade on the bottom right the most but all the shades are amazing.

Next, I’ve been loving the L’Oreal Visible Lift CC Eye Concealer. As it gets hotter outside, I’ve been wearing more lightweight products. I was previously using MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Concealer and I will continue to use this on the rest of my face but this L’Oreal concealer is perfect for covering dark circles and, since the applicator is a metal ball, it depuffs as you apply the product! However, my dark circles aren’t too bad so I don’t know how well this will cover extremely dark circles.

I reviewed this product back in March and in case you missed that post you can find it here. This is the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Pressed Powder in the shade warm light. After reviewing this product, I set it aside to finish another powder I was trying to finish and was able to get back to using it during the last month. In the length of time between posting that review and this post, I have severely hit pan on the powder and hope it will last me until my move. I love the staying power of this powder and it helps keep me matte all day!

I picked this up during Ulta’s most recent 21 Days of beauty sale. It wasn’t on sale but I wanted to try a stick highlighter for those days I want to get bronzer, blush, and highlight applied before setting my face. It’s the NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick in the shade Chardonnay Shimmer. I already love the blush shade of this product so I thought I’d give this shade a try. I absolutely LOVE this stick highlighter! It’s the perfect pigmentation between natural and blinding and, in my experience, doesn’t make my foundation move around when I apply it!

This is another product I bought at IMATS LA this year. It’s the RCMA No-Color Powder. I also set this product aside until I finished the translucent powder I had at the time. I was finally able to start using this product towards the middle/ end of March. I kept the jar my previous powder was in and keep refilling it with the No-Color powder since I have trouble getting my beauty blender in the container it comes in without making a huge mess. I love this powder for baking my under eyes and my more oily areas (my nose and chin). It sets my liquid and cream products so beautifully and, like the bottle says, it doesn’t add any color.

Second to last is the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Doll Parts. I think this is the perfect color for spring. It’s the perfect mix between a nude and a bright pink and love how it compliments my skin tone. I personally think it would look good on any skin tone. In my previous post about the Jeffree Star Cosmetics collab with Manny MUA, I talked about how much I love the Velour Liquid Lipstick formula. It lasts so long without drying out my lips like some other brands.

Last but not least, I’ve been loving another product I picked up at IMATS, the Anastasia Beverly Hill Metallic Luster Liner in Liquid Gold. It creates the perfect inner corner highlight! It’s really creamy and doesn’t tug on the delicate skin around the eyes. It also has amazing staying power and doesn’t fade or flake off during the day. In addition to using it in the inner corner, it can also be used on the waterline and cupids bow.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks post! What are some of your April favorites?

Until next time,
