Mascara Review: Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

It’s spring cleaning time! Over the past week, I’ve been going through my apartment to clean up and get rid of anything I no longer use. While I was going through my makeup, I found a bunch of mascara samples! So, this week I decided to try one of the samples I have. I’m reviewing the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara. According to the Urban Decay website:

Get bigger, blacker, badder lashes with our ultra-creamy, lengthening and volumizing mascara.

Perversion has a creamy, full-bodied texture that’s not too dry, not too wet. This allows just the right amount of “pull” so it glides through lashes. The result: incredible control for insane lashes. Go ahead and pile on coat after coat. Want to apply more before you go out at night? No problem. Even if it’s been all day since you applied, more Perversion always means more beautiful lashes. Our formula NEVER gets brittle or clumpy.

In last week’s post, I expressed how much I love drugstore mascara that is in the shade blackest black or very black. This mascara is on a whole new level of pigmentation. It really does stand up to the claim of being one of the blackest mascaras.

Similar to last week, while I was photographing this product, I was also immediately attracted to the wand. I love mascara wands that separate lashes while adding length and volume. This one does all of that effortlessly! It definitely ranks as one of my favorite mascara wands!

Just to get a baseline, here’s what my lashes look like without mascara:

I ended up applying around 2 coats and it was extremely effortless to apply. I felt everything in the product description was correct. The formula is the perfect texture! It definitely isn’t too dry or too wet and it really does easily glide through lashes.

I was extremely impressed by this mascara. I absolutely love everything about this mascara! It has a creamy formula, extremely black pigmentation, and a perfect wand.  Unlike last week when I felt it took me twice as long to apply my mascara, this one went on so easily that it might have saved me time in my routine!

I also applied this mascara to my bottom lashes. The wand was a bit bigger than I’m used to but it was still pretty easy to apply. I wore this makeup for about 8 hours and I didn’t experience any flaking or smearing from the mascara. Overall, this mascara is definitely worth it and I highly recommend it!
