Covergirl Total Tease Mascara Review

Hello everyone!

This week I have another mascara review on the Covergirl Total Tease mascara!

This mascara came out around the same time as the L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara and because of that, I haven’t heard much about it. I’ve already reviewed the Lash Paradise and you can read my review here.

This mascara retails for $8.99 at Ulta and comes in four shades (according to the Covergirl website). I purchased the Very Black shade from my local CVS.

According to the Covergirl website,

Full. Long. Refined. Sexy, teased lashes! Use the lash teasing mascara comb for ease and control to tease even the tiniest corner lashes for a full, voluminous look. Dark, defined lashes that last all day!

If you’re new or need a refresher, here is what my lashes look like without mascara:

And here’s what two coats of the Total Tease mascara looks like on my lashes without curling them prior to application:

Let’s talk about the strange looking wand first. It certainly has a learning curve to it since there are a few different parts that make up the wand. However, now that I know how to use it I’m loving the results!

I only tested this mascara on my top lashes. Because of the strange wand shape, I didn’t want to attempt to apply it to my lower lashes and possibly ruin my look for the day.

The formula is not too wet or too dry and is buildable without becoming too clumpy (in two coats). As a contact wearer, I did not experience any irritation or watery eyes. I wore this mascara all day shopping in Las Vegas and into the night when I went to see Britney Spears. It stayed put and didn’t flake off at all even though I wore it for about 12-13 hours.

Overall, because this mascara is so affordable and the formula is amazing, I recommend trying it out. Just beware of the learning curve and take some time to get used to this interesting wand.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks post! Have you tried this mascara? If so, what do you think of it?

Until next time,
