This week I’m sharing what I purchased from this years’ Kylie Cosmetics Birthday collection. I had planned to post this last week but I placed two separate orders and one of the orders didn’t come in time. So I pushed it to this week! 😜
This years’ collection didn’t wow me like last years’ did. It reminded me a lot of the Valentines Day collection from earlier this year so I wasn’t really drawn to many items. My favorite item from the collection was the bedazzled Candy K matte liquid lipstick but I couldn’t justify spending $60 on a lipstick that didn’t even come with a liner. Here’s what I ended up getting!
First, I decided to pick up her classic makeup bag. I also have the one from last years’ birthday collection and last winter’s collection. They are some of my favorite makeup bags! They are so well made and can carry a lot of makeup which is perfect for me since I’m quite indecisive when it comes to lip colors and seem to bring my whole lipstick collection whenever I travel. Additionally, the outside is vinyl so it’s super easy to clean!
Next, I decided to get the mini velvet liquid lipsticks. The velvet line has quickly become some of my favorite lip products. The formula almost dries down matte (so semi-matte) and doesn’t pull all moisture from my lips like her matte liquid lipsticks. They aren’t transfer-proof but when it comes down to it, I’d rather have moisturized lips than transfer-proof lips. I can’t wait to wear these shades because they are perfect to transition from summer to fall!
Last, I decided to pick up the matte liquid lipstick in the shade Twenty. I know I was just dragging this formula but some of the Kylie Cosmetics lip colors are too pretty and I can’t resist! I just make sure to exfoliate and coat my lips in lip balm before applying and after removing the lipsticks. This is another great summer to fall transition shade and can’t wait to start wearing it!
