I can’t believe it’s been one year since I’ve posted anything! A year ago I was freshly graduated from college, on an unsuccessful hunt for a full-time “real adult” job, and had just started a part-time position at my local Target. Stuck in a rut of rejections, I lost my spark along with some determination.
Fast forward to now, I’ve left Target, spent a short time at Ulta Beauty, and started as part-time Stylist at Francesca’s, a Texas-based company – with multiple boutiques around the country – filled with a diverse mix of clothing, bold accessories, and playful gifts that are just as fun to give as they are to receive. Additionally, I’m on the job hunt again for that highly sought after, full-time “real adult” job while researching grad school programs.
Let’s recap what’s happened since my last post! 😊
In January, I was able to attend one of the last showings of the Aladdin Musical at Disney’s California Adventure. It ran for 10 years and I grew up watching this musical and quickly fell in love with this show. Unfortunately, it has since been retired and has been replaced with a Frozen Musical. It’s pretty good and the visual effects have been greatly updated but I still like the Aladdin show much more.
Also in January, I attended my first IMATS (International Makeup Trade Show). This is a makeup lover’s dream! I had so much fun discovering new brands and products and shopping at discounted prices.
Throughout the year, in addition to people watching, enjoying fun rides, and discovering yummy treats, I’ve had a lot of fun utilizing my annual pass to photograph Disneyland.
This is one of my favorites. I got stuck on Big Thunder Mountain with my parents and while we waited for the cast member to get us off the ride safely, I snapped a few pics!
As a big fan of Harry Potter, this was a special day. I visited the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Hollywood. I love it and can’t wait to return for some more frozen butterbeer!
In June, I traveled home to Northern California and visited a lavender farm in Sonoma. Although it was very hot, it was so beautiful! We picked some lavender, took a lot of pictures, and shopped the lavender bath products. I just love this picture because one of the local bees decided to photobomb our picture! Do you see it?
During another trip home to Northern California, I finally did a couple touristy things in San Francisco that I’ve been meaning to do for so long! I went to the Painted Lady houses (featured in Full House) and the Walt Disney Family Museum. Both places were absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to go back to San Francisco for some more adventures!
As birthday and Christmas presents, I got to see two AMAZING concerts – Adele and Beyonce! There are no words that can describe how great these two concerts were. Of course, they were very different from each other but just as inspirational.
Finally, I was lucky enough to meet a few famous people!
Josh Gad
Todrick Hall
Grace Helbig
Scott Weinger
I know good things are yet to come as this year quickly comes to an end. I can’t wait to see what wonderful adventures are to come in 2017!
Until next time,
