Beautylish Lucky Bag 2018

Hello everyone!

Today I’m sharing what I got in the Beautylish Lucky Bag I was able to get this year! I first heard about this item from Bunny (Grav3yardgirl) when she shared her 2017 Lucky Bag. I was immediately intrigued and knew I had to get one in 2018 if I could. However, I actually ended up forgetting about it and later in the year signed up for the Beautylish email list to track other product launches. Fortunately I did because December came around and I got a few emails about the 2018 Lucky Bag which reminded me of the awesome opportunity! I placed my order on December 26th with the hopes of receiving it around January 15th.

In case you haven’t heard of the Beautylish annual Lucky Bag, they are mystery bags of beauty products and maybe even some extra surprises. There are two sizes, the original Lucky Bag which retails for $75 and is promised to contain $150+ of products and the Lucky Bag XL which retails for $150 and is promised to contain $350+ of products. I went to the website right at the time the email said to and the XL bags were already sold out so I purchased the original Lucky Bag.

Now without further ado, here’s my 2018 Lucky Bag!

This is how the box looked when I first opened it! The wrapping was incredibly adorable and there was a tag that explains the theme of the wrapping and what the Beautylish Luck Bags were inspired by.

Everything was very well concealed so it really was a surprise when I opened it!

And here’s what I received!

IMATS LA 2018 Haul

Hello everyone!

Last weekend I attended IMATS in Pasadena, CA with my sister and best friend. This was my third time attending and it is always so much fun! If you haven’t heard of this convention, IMATS stands for International Makeup Artist Trade Show. For a small ticket fee, you get access to a whole convention center full of discounted makeup, a magical place for any makeup lover! Because I spent my weekend away and wasn’t able to work on a more involved post, this week I’ll be sharing what I purchased while at the convention.

Let’s jump in!

The first thing everyone who attended got was a free sample size lippie from Kat Von D.

F23DE8FB-3B2E-494B-AB12-BC2D48AC7B43

The following are in no particular order. I don’t remember the exact order I visited all these booths. 😜 I truly took advantage of the fact that just about everything was discounted and most of the items I purchased are actually items I swear by and use on a daily basis.

Benefit only had a small selection of their products and if you spent $80+ you received a freebie. I chose this cute makeup bag!

IMG_0658

I stocked up on my fave lashes – trios and Wispies style 122. I also wanted to try the doubled trios so I got a couple boxes of those too!

IMG_0663

I swear by the Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper and ever since I started testing a different lash growth serum, I wanted to try this one. I was also interested in the mascara. Luckily, they were selling the pair at a huge discount and I even got a couple samples with my purchase!

IMG_0673

At Morphe, I got some things I’ve been DYING to try and tiny scissors to trim my false lashes.

IMG_0691

I also purchased a huge bottle of my all-time favorite daily brush cleaner. I also got a small spray bottle that I can refill so it’s easier to apply to my brushes.

IMG_0695

At the Frends Beauty booth, I stocked up on the Beauty Blender Cleanser Pro Solid Cleanser, a 6 pack of pro beauty blenders, the Loving Tan Bronzing Mousse, and the Applicator Mitt. I’ve heard this is the best self-tanner out there right now and with spring and summer on the way, I wanted to try it out!

IMG_0701

I bought this lash glue at last year’s IMATS solely because the brand name is the same as my last name. 😜 Luckily it’s amazing lash glue so I decided to buy both the clear and black formulas this year.

IMG_0703

The next item we came across by just randomly wandering the convention hall. It’s basically glitter suspended in a very thick hair gel and can be used on the face, body, and hair! It’s absolutely AMAZING! It stays just about anywhere you put it without the stickiness or crunchiness of hair gel. We’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World and we thought this stuff would be amazing to wear while we’re there!

IMG_0708

I got a new black gel liner to go with the new super skinny liner brush I bought from Hakuhodo.

IMG_0711

I stocked up on my favorite makeup setting spray from Skindinavia and the purchase came with a free mini size of the recovery spray and more glitter from the same brand as the glitter earlier in the post.

IMG_0716

I picked up a powder brush from It Cosmetics. Aside from Hakuhodo brushes, It Cosmetics makes the softest brushes on the market and couldn’t resist the powder brush to go with my dual-ended foundation/ concealer brush!

IMG_0718

I’m VERY slowly growing my collection of Hakuhodo brushes. I purchased two highlighting brushes last year and decided to get a crease brush and super skinny liner brush this year.

IMG_0724

Beautylish was selling almost everything Jeffree Star makes so I picked up a couple more items from this year’s holiday collection!

3A8DF8AC-1192-4227-8419-5FB86F072377

I originally was just going to purchase the Tartelette matte palette but I had to step out of line so my sister purchased it for me and added a  couple extra lippies to my order! I haven’t tried them yet but I’m excited to see what they look like!

6897D2E9-5E84-4639-921E-B744552FAD40

I couldn’t resist this super cute headband either! It’s made to keep your hair out of your face while applying skincare, masks, or makeup and it was pretty inexpensive.

IMG_0730

Finally, I had been in the market for a straightening brush for a while now as a faster alternative to straighten my naturally curly hair but couldn’t decide on which one I wanted to buy. Well I’m glad I waited because when I saw the demonstration of this Enzo Milano straightening comb, I couldn’t believe the amazing results it made with just one pass on a thick chunk of my friend’s hair! I had never seen a straightening brush give results like that in one pass. I was sold immediately and this was the one impulse buy I made this year. I’ve tested it out on a couple face-framing pieces of my hair but it has been foggy and raining here in Northern California so I don’t bother straightening my hair if it’s just going to be ruined. I can’t wait to try it out on my full head of hair!

IMG_0736

And that’s it for IMATS LA 2018!

IMG_0111

Have you been to any of the IMATS that have been hosted around the world? If so, what was your experience? I’d love to hear about what this trade show is like in other states/ countries!

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara Review

Hello everyone!

Today I’m reviewing the new Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara. This mascara was released at the end of last year but I didn’t see it in my local CVS until late December/ early January, which is where I purchased it.

This mascara reminds me of the L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara. The wand is very fluffy and is marketed to add volume to the lashes.

As I said earlier, I purchased this mascara at CVS for $9.49. My local CVS carried 3 shades – Brownish Black, Very Black, and Blackest Black. I purchased the shade Blackest Black to achieve the most drama. According to the Maybelline website:

Total Temptation™ Washable Mascara builds lashes for full and soft volume. Give in to Total Lash Temptation! Build on bold volume to create irresistibly soft, separated, and dense lashes coat after coat. Features a creamy and whipped formula infused with coconut extract. Packaging may vary, what you receive may not be what is reflected on site.

Here’s a pic of my lashes with nothing on them:

And here’s what my lashes look like with 2 coats of the Total Temptation Mascara (only applied to my top lashes without curling prior to application):

Now let’s talk more about the wand first. As I stated previously, it’s very similar to the L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara. It’s fluffy and made of bristles, which I prefer over the plastic wands. I also like that the rounded handle has a flat edge because it helps with the control of application.

I only tested this mascara on my top lashes in the pictures above, which is what I usually do since most wands are either too big for my bottom lash line or a strange shape that just wouldn’t easily fit my bottom lash line. However, since taking those pictures, I tried applying it to my lower lashes and I actually loved the way they looked and the application wasn’t too difficult!

I love the formula because it’s not too wet or too dry. It’s also buildable and creates amazing volume! Just as a disclaimer, this mascara doesn’t really add a lot of length. I’ve been testing a lash growth serum (review coming soon) which is why my lashes might look extra long. Although the mascara doesn’t add a lot of length, the volume it adds makes the ends of the lashes appear thicker and therefore longer.  While this mascara is buildable, it can become clumpy with more than two coats. In areas of my lash line that were noticeably clumpy, I used a lash comb to get rid of the clumps. Additionally, as a contact wearer, I did not experience any irritation or watery eyes. I wore this mascara all day at work and it stayed put and didn’t flake off even though I wore it for about 13 hours.

Overall,  I think this mascara is well worth it! L’Oreal Lash Paradise better watch out, there’s finally another mascara that can compete with it.

Have you tried this mascara? If so, what do you think of it?

2017 Beauty Favorites

Hello everyone!

Like many say at the start of a new year, I can’t believe another year has passed! One year ago this month, I started blogging on a more serious level and my goal for the year was to post at least once a week. I’m extremely proud to say that I almost did so, only missing a 2 or 3 weeks scattered throughout the year. This year I hope to do the same but really step up my content and maybe update my blog’s theme.

However, let’s get onto the real topic of today’s post. I’m going to welcome 2018 by going over my favorite beauty products from 2017!

Origins Original Skin Matte Moisturizer

origins matte collage

The first two products on my list I have to thank Influenster for introducing/ sending them to me. I love this moisturizer so much that I actually already repurchased it! As someone with oily-combination skin, I prefer to use lightweight gel moisturizers in my morning skincare routine. This one is amazing because it creates the perfect matte canvas for makeup! You can read more about my thoughts on this moisturizer and the next product here.

Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum

IMG_0643

This is another product I have to thank Influenster for. I use this serum in combination with the moisturizer and I’m loving what they are doing to my skin! I’ve actually repurchased this product twice since I tested it back in September. It perfects the tone and texture of my skin without drying it out and, like the moisturizer, it also helps to prep my skin for makeup. It doesn’t fill in my pores, but it does have a blurring effect on my skin. You can also read more about my thoughts on this serum through the link in the moisturizer section above.

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer

shape tape collage

How could I not include this concealer in my 2017 faves?! This concealer has taken the makeup world by storm. It was released at the end of 2016 and during the first few months of 2017, I didn’t think any concealer could beat my MAC Prolongwear concealer so I didn’t think I needed to purchase it. Also, my decision not to purchase was aided by the fact that my shade was always sold out online and at my local Ulta. However, when I moved back to Northern California, my local Ulta finally had my shade in stock! Let’s just say I haven’t used another concealer under my eyes since I purchased it. I would use it to conceal blemishes but it’s much too light to use anywhere else but under my eyes.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

lm powder collage

I purchased the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder during the Sephora VIB sale a month or two ago. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this powder for years but I didn’t want to spend $45 on a setting powder. During the sale, they bundled the powder with a powder puff (normally sold for $15) for just a couple dollars more than the cost of the powder itself. It sets my under eye concealer beautifully and even helps the makeup stay on my t-zone better than any other powder I’ve ever tried, loose or pressed. Now that I have this powder, I don’t think anything could beat it! Although the MAC Patrick Star Powder is getting some glowing review too so keep an eye out for a review coming soon.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette

This was actually my first experience with Morphe eyeshadows and I was highly impressed by the performance of these shadows! They blend out effortlessly, are super pigmented and buttery, and have amazing color payoff. I just love how it includes a color for any situation! I’m typically drawn more towards warm colors since I have a warmer skin tone but I love having the ability to create looks with cooler shades.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

This mascara went above and beyond my expectations! The formula was perfect from the moment I opened the tube and did a really good job at holding a curl. The mascara wand is one of the best I’ve ever used and really gets in between all my lashes to coat each one. As far as longevity, I feel like this mascara performed just as well as waterproof mascaras I’ve tried! And as a contact wearer, it didn’t irritate my eyes at all. I’ve also reviewed this product and you can read more about what I thought here.

Cotton Candy Cream Kylighter

kylighter collage

To be honest, I was a little skeptical about these highlighters when I purchased the shade Cotton Candy Cream. It was getting mixed reviews so I was really hoping that it would be a good highlighter. At the time, I was trying to use up the rest of my Becca Champagne Pop, which is one of my all-time favorite highlighters, so it took me a little while to actually try and start using the Kylighter. However, once I started using it I couldn’t believe why I waited so long to try it! I’ve used it almost every day since I started using it. I apply it on my cheekbones, brow bone, and my inner corner and I love that it goes with almost every look!

Wet n Wild Powder Brush

IMG_0654

We made it to the last favorite! Even though the first round of Wet n Wild brushes was getting great reviews, I still was unsure how good a $2.99 brush could be. So I finally purchased the powder brush and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this brush is SOO soft. I’m not in love with the colorway of the brush but that doesn’t affect how the brush works. It applies and blends in powder evenly and, even though I originally bought it to keep in my purse, it has actually made it into my brush collection I keep on my vanity! Also, did I mention how soft it is! 😜

What were you’re favorite products of 2017? I’m always into trying new things so let me know in the comments!

Erin Condren Haul: Prepping for 2018

Hello everyone!

Today I’m sharing what I bought from Erin Condren, what planner I’ll be using for the next year and some extra goodies. I’ve been using an Erin Condren life planner for around 5 or 6 years and I love and swear by them. Previously, I went for the traditional plastic, interchangeable covers but this year I decided to splurge on the faux leather, permanent cover. Even though the 2018 life planners were released around June or July, I actually waited to purchase my planner until Black Friday so I could get it, and everything else I decided to purchase, at a discount.

DSC_0405

First, let’s start with my life planner! It’s a 12-month coil bound planner and, as I previously said, the cover is made of really nice, gray faux leather that I had it monogrammed with my initials in gold to match the coil.

DSC_0424

This year, Erin Condren redesigned the life planner pages and upgraded the paper to a thicker, higher quality paper. I’ll definitely need to adjust my planning style to really utilize all the new features in this year’s life planner but I feel like I’m really going to enjoy it! Below are some pictures of the inside of the life planner. I’ve only included pics of one month but all the months look the same except with different color schemes.

C82FEC3F-9BD3-4480-8733-A568024E9BD2

Each life planner also comes with stickers to make planning more fun and beautiful! This year, some of the stickers are foiled and I love how reflective and colorful they are since I went for the neutral planning pages.

436BB3C9-7C46-48F1-A981-CCC8BB592196

Each planner also comes with a Perpetual Planner and a Plan for it Pouch, which includes a few extra goodies that Erin Condren sells on their website. The Perpetual Planner is great for keeping track of dates and celebrations that happen annually. To be honest, I don’t really use the perpetual planner because a new one comes with each new life planner I buy and I found it a waste of time to transfer all those dates into a new perpetual planner when I can just write them in my life planner.

DSC_0449

In addition to my life planner, I decided to purchase the Shine On Bundle, which includes some amazing metallic products paired together at a discounted price. I’m not sure how I’m going to use some of these products yet but I’m excited to see how everything comes together as 2018 progresses.

As 2018 gets closer, the more excited I get to start using my new life planner! I’m already collecting ideas and prepping my posts for next month. There might even be a theme change/ rebrand coming to my blog next year since my personal style has changed dramatically since I set up this blog a couple years ago.

January 2017 is when I actually started taking blogging seriously and it’s changed my life! I can’t believe I’ve consistently blogged for an entire year. I love having a space to share my thoughts, experiences, and pictures and I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store!

Maybelline x Gigi Hadid Review

Hello everyone!

Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the new Maybelline x Gigi Hadid collection. Since I was a little late to purchase the collection, not everything was in stock but I was still able to purchase the items I wanted from both the east and west coast collections.

On the Maybelline website, this collection is described as follows:

From her home base in NYC to her hometown in LA, the design and details of these three Maybelline makeup collections reveal the story of Gigi Hadid’s life as she sees it, one shade name at a time.

I tried not to watch or read any reviews of the collection but I couldn’t resist learning more about the Jetsetter palette. If I was going to spend $30 on a palette from the drugstore, it better be good! After watching a few reviews on YouTube, I decided not to purchase it. So, here’s what I did end up purchasing:

DSC_0452

East Coast Collection

Gigi Hadid Liquid Eyeliner – Black

I purchased everything from my local Ulta. This first product, the Liquid Eyeliner, retails for $9.99 and only comes in black. According to the Maybelline website:

This limited edition black liquid eyeliner features an ultra-fine tip that delivers laser-sharp precision for the most defined line. It’s the essential for a signature Gigi East Coast Glam cat eye look. Ophthalmologist tested. Dermatologist tested. Fragrance free. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

This is one of my favorite products from the collection! It’s super pigmented and glides effortlessly onto the eyes. I still haven’t figured out the most flattering wing shape/ size for my eyes and I’m still not the best at applying wings either but I found this liner much easier to use than other liners I’ve tried to apply winged liner. It wore very well throughout the day and didn’t run or flake. Also, as a contact wearer, I didn’t notice any signs of irritation. Easily a 5 Star product in my eyes!

Gigi Hadid Fiber Mascara – Black

This is one of 2 mascaras in the collection. It also only comes in black and retails for $12.99. According to the Maybelline website:

Bring on an effortless East Coast Glam look with this Maybelline Gigi Hadid Fiber mascara. Getting gorgeous length and a volumizing effect is as easy as 1,2,3.

In case anyone is new or hasn’t read my previous mascara reviews, I have been blessed with long lashes that are not very voluminous and the tips aren’t very pigmented. Below is what my lashes look like without any product on them.

And here’s what 2 full coats of the fiber mascara look like.

This mascara works EXTREMELY well at adding volume, which is what you’d expect since you’re adding small fibers to build up your lashes. I feel like it’s very easy to go overboard with this mascara. My lashes are on the fine line between okay clumpy and grossly clumpy but I think they still look pretty good! The mascara is pigmented and applies very easily. I didn’t notice any flaking throughout the day and it didn’t irritate my eyes. I was slightly worried about the fibers around my contacts but luckily I was able to avoid getting them in my eyes. I only applied the mascara and fibers to my top my lashes

Gigi Hadid Lip Kit – Taura

I think this is a genius idea for the drugstore, I don’t know why more brands aren’t selling lip kits. The kits in this collection retail for $16.99 and, between the east and west coast collections, there are 6 different shades available. According to the Maybelline website:

This Maybelline Gigi Hadid kit features matte lip liners and lipsticks in a collection of limited edition shades created by Gigi herself. Gigi recommends reapplying liner after applying lipstick to redefine the silhouette and to create the perfect pout.

The lip liner is creamy and goes on the lips so smoothly for a matte lip liner. I’m loving the formula! Some matte liners I’ve tried are so dry and drag when applied to the lips. I definitely will be trying more Maybelline lip liners since this one works so well!

In addition to NYX, Maybelline has some of the best lipsticks in the drugstore and this one is no exception. The matte formula is so creamy and doesn’t dry out my lips at all, which is nice during the winter time when my lips always seem to be chapped. It’s also very pigmented and lasts pretty long considering it’s a normal lipstick that doesn’t dry down.

West Coast Collection

Gigi Hadid Eyeshadow Palette – Warm

This is one of four eyeshadow palettes (not including the Jetsetter palette) in the collection. There are two palettes that look like City Mini palettes and two palettes that look similar to the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette but with much smaller pans of eyeshadow. The palettes from this collection that are similar to the Naked Basics palette are way out of proportion and the shadows seemed too small to make it worth my money.  I purchase the warm City Mini look alike palette which retails for $14.99. According to the Maybelline website:

Make a lasting impression with this limited edition six-shade mini eyeshadow palette. This eyeshadow set is featured in the Gigi Hadid West Coast Glow Collection.

The metallic/ shimmery shadows applied pretty nicely when applied wet but the matte shades were only okay. As I was blending them on my eyes, some of the lighter shades were not showing up that well and I have a pretty light skin tone. The pigmentation just isn’t as good as it is in the swatches. Although the dark brown is great but the lighter matte shades aren’t my faves.

Since the application was so-so, I was skeptical whether or not the shadows would last throughout the day. They actually lasted pretty well considering the shadows didn’t wow me during application but I can’t say I’ll be purchasing any more of these City Mini palettes when there are so many other palettes at the drugstore that are much better quality.

Gigi Hadid Gel Eyeliner – Nude

The last product I purchased was the gel eyeliner. This liner comes in black and nude and retails for $11.99. According to the Maybelline website:

Part of the Maybelline Gigi Hadid Collection, this waterproof and smudge-resistant gel eyeliner pencil glides on smooth for a dramatic look. All-day wear. Ophthalmologist tested. Dermatologist tested. Allergy tested. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

I have a love/ hate feeling with this liner. I love the nude color and how much light it brings to my eyes! However, I’m not sure if you can see in the picture of the swatch, the liner is slightly shimmery and I prefer to put matte liners on my waterline. Other than the fact that it’s shimmery, this eyeliner is wonderful. It’s pigmented and it actually lasts on my waterline! As a contact wearer, my eyes can sometimes be watery but this liner powered through and lasted for most of the day.

Below are a couple of pics of an everyday look I created with these products.

Have you tried anything from the new Maybelline x Gig Hadid Collection? Let me know what you thought about the products in the comments!

Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Liquid Rouge: Influenster Voxbox

Hello everyone!

Today I’m reviewing the Clé de Peau Radiant Liquid Rouge. I received a full-size tube of this product from Influenster, complimentary for testing. This time, my box didn’t have any extra samples but that’s probably because it includes a full-size item from a luxury brand. This is how it was packaged and sent to me:

This lipstick comes in 8 shades and retails for $48 USD. According to the Clé de Peau website, the key benefits of this lipstick are:

  • Unique Tri-laminar technology separates color and shine into three layers for an unparalleled level of color saturation and captivating texture.
  • Brilliant Color Powder creates bright rich color that appears to melt into lips.
  • Crystal Coat Polymer reveals a jewel-like luster and radiance.
  • Illuminating Hydro-WrapComplex and premium Argan Tree Oil deliver rich moisture that lasts for four hours.

I received the shade 14 Sparkling Pale Pink. Of the 8 shades, this is probably my least favorite. Even though the color is very pretty, I just don’t love Barbie pink on myself.

Aside from the color, let’s talk about the formula. It’s extremely moisturizing, which is great for the winter time when my lips seem to always be chapped. In my opinion, it’s the perfect mixture between a liquified lipstick (one that doesn’t dry down) and a lip gloss. It’s very pigmented like a liquified lipstick with the intense shine of a lipgloss! And as an added bonus, it’s not sticky like a lipgloss. This lippy has such an amazing, buttery smooth texture and I love the shine it gives!

It doesn’t last through eating or drinking, but what liquified lipstick or lipgloss does? I noticed that throughout the day, as the shine wore away, it still left behind the color and the moisture! I am in love this product and if it weren’t almost $50 a tube, I would definitely purchase more colors!

Have you tried this product? Or do you know of any dupes for this product? ($50 a tube is not currently in my budget😅) Let me know in the comments!

Arbonne Holiday Makeup Review

Hi everyone!

Today I’m reviewing two makeup products from the Arbonne 2017 Holiday collection. If you’re new to my blog or haven’t read my older posts, I’m actually an Arbonne Independent Consultant. I was introduced to this amazing company by a sorority sister while job searching after graduation. Arbonne International is a health and wellness company that is all natural, vegan, and follows European guidelines in product production.

When I was introduced, I had been doing research on the harmful chemicals in health and wellness products that are sold by well-known companies such as Maybelline, Pantene, and Garnier. Unlike companies in the U.S., Arbonne follows European guidelines, which means that there are about 1,400 ingredients that are banned from use in skincare and makeup products! Meanwhile, the U.S. only regulates/ bans around 14 ingredients.

I decided to become an Independent Consultant after learning about the company because I had been looking for natural alternatives to my staple products. One of my favorite products outside the makeup and skincare realm is the 7-day Body Cleanse! I love it because it helps detoxify your system and assists with gentle elimination of toxins. It also helps jumpstart healthy lifestyle choices. Last year I used it once at the beginning of the new year and once during summer time to help remind me to make healthier choices.

DSC_0244

With the introduction out of the way, let’s jump into the review!

Starlight Glow Palette

So the first item is a face palette that includes a blush, bronzer, contour, and highlighter. The net weight of each product is 0.22oz. It retails for $75 but you can get it (and anything else sold on the site) at a discount by becoming a Preferred Client!

According to the Arbonne website,

These shades were plucked from the sky to deliver a celestial glow as if your cheeks were kissed by the stars themselves. These multi-use powders can be used to highlight, blush, bronze, or contour with an array of warm to cool pigments to sculpt and shape a starlit glow. Featuring three brand-new shades and guest starring our fan favorite Anniversary Bronzer.

DSC_0378
I am in love with all four of these powders! They are buttery smooth, pigmented and they blend beautifully. I applied the shade Meteor in the hollows of my cheeks, Moonstone on the apples of my cheeks, and the Starlight on my cheekbones. The highlight formula is velvety and provides an amazing, luminous glow that can be worn sheer and natural or built up for a more dramatic look. I opted for the more dramatic look. The contour is the perfect shade for my skin tone, not too red or too grey. I had a hard time seeing the blush when I applied it at my vanity but in the pictures and in other mirrors, it definitely showed up. I didn’t get the chance to try the bronzer because it’s slightly shimmery and I like to save shimmery bronzers for spring and summertime.

Rosé All Day To Night Lip Set

The second item is a lip set that includes 3 matte liquid lipsticks and 3 lip glosses. The net weight for each product is 0.09 fl. oz. The set retails for $70 but you can also get it at a discount by becoming a Preferred Client!

According to the Arbonne website,

A trio of dual-ended lip colors in blushing nudes, pinks and mauves that keep you rocking that rosé all day and night. This lip bouquet features Arbonne’s new favorite matte lip cream on one end and a shiny lip gloss on the other. Wear alone or mix-and-match for a full bloom effect.

These matte liquid lipsticks wear very comfortably and don’t drain all the moisture from my lips. I’m wearing Azalea in the pic above. The matte lipsticks are super long wearing and the I love the shade range, dusty rose shades are my thing! Also, the set comes with two solid glosses and one glittery gloss, which are so buttery and give an amazing shine to any lip look!

Colourpop Haul

Hello everyone!

Today I’m sharing the items I picked up during the Colourpop Black Friday/ Cyber Monday sale. Prior to this order, I hadn’t tried anything from Colourpop. I’ve heard so many great things about the brand but I have a hard time convincing myself to blindly buy cosmetics online without seeing the product in person.

Even though the brand has amazingly low prices, I decided to purchase one palette on sale in addition to the entire Colourpop x Laura Lee x No Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) collection. I’m a huge animal lover and spent a lot of time in high school volunteering at my local animal shelter so when I heard about this collection, I knew I needed to get the whole thing to support NKLA. 100% of the proceeds from this collection goes to NKLA so why not donate to a great cause and get some amazing products from it!

Here’s a closer look at what I bought. 😊

NKLA X LAURA LEE Super Shock Shadow Foursome

(Shades: Ritz, Glitz, Shiny, Hiney)

If you hadn’t noticed from the pictures above, the shadow in the shade Hiney arrived broken. When I opened it to take photos of it, the entire shadow came right out of the pan! After looking around the Colourpop website, I found out that if you contact their customer service within 14 days of your package delivery, they will help you to the best of their ability. So I put in a request and they responded within 15 minutes of my initial request! Within 30 minutes, I was notified that they would send me a new shadow right away! So 5 stars for such amazing customer service!
